The Vibe

It’s a simple premise. With an entrance just up a few steps from inside The Merchant, it leaves you no excuse but to pop up the steps and pick up a quick and easy slice of pizza if you are out for a few drinks. What more do you need but a big neon sign welcoming you in, a couple of benches to sit down and wait, and a small counter with the fresh pizzas laid out and more cooking in the background? Pizza by the slice makes great pizza a casual affair, just as it should be. We all deserve some good pizza in our life, and Nightcrawler is a great place to get it quickly and easily. The Slice Bar is an excellent concept that adds something completely different to The Merchant, and the prices make it a really enticing concept. Sharing a big pizza with a table full of friends, drinks around the table, brings that level of casual to the cool corner bar.

The Food

It is NYC-style pizza by the slice, and although you can always head in and find the simple pizza classics that we all know and love, Nightcrawler is always looking for new and interesting ideas. Simple pizzas like Louie Louie have just sea salt, basil, and mozzarella, whilst there are always plenty of veggie options (the Hulk is bursting with veggie goodness – with toppings of pesto, spring onion, feta, pine nuts, and loads of rocket on the top) and there is always a slice that has that bit of a spicy kick to it. Nightcrawler is effortlessly cool, a simple transaction to get you that flavour sensation and the texture of a simple slice of pizza. When pizza is good, there is nothing else like it.

The Price

For pizza slices this size, with this level of quick and efficient service, the prices are great. You can get a big slice of greasy, tasty, pizza for around £3. Even better, before 6pm, Sunday to Thursday, you can get a half price slice, making it even better value.
